Primary Responsibilities

Provide sales and market-based analysis to help create an aligned Sales & Marketing forward view of unconstrained sales demand. The Sales Operations Manager will work with inside sales and facility supply chain managers to ensure customer forecast is consumed by incoming sales orders. Additionally, they will ensure that the customer is receiving Market lead times. The Sales Operations Manager lays a critical role within all phases of Luxfer’s IBP process (PMR, Demand, Supply and Financial Planning). This role will interact with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure forecast, and plans are in place to support the business goal of meeting or exceeding budgeted sales goals.

  • Develop, deploy, and manage a simplified sales forecasting process.
  • Utilize the sales forecasting process, as well as interaction with sales managers to ensure there are clearly defined sales plans in place that will deliver monthly as well as strategic revenue goals.
  • Co-ordinate monthly forecasting process and the data inputs to the monthly Integrated Business Planning process.
  • General understanding of business; interpreting the business context of forecast demand (high or low) or supply capability (high or low).
  • Liaise with Product Management & Supply on day-to-day issues.
  • Facilitate the management of SalesForce.com opportunity funnel with sales and product managers.
  • Day to day collaboration with Supply Chain Managers at each manufacturing facility on the consumption of forecast and sales order promise dates, ensuring alignment with market lead time expectations.
  • Manage Sales Teams Growth Scorecard Metrics.
  • Provide important support to sales and business leadership on the generation of annual and strategic planning sales forecasts.
  • Working with Inside Sales to ensure incoming orders are allocated to the appropriate manufacturing location.
  • Oversees the general workflow of generating sales reports, charts, and markets.
  • Provide monthly sales review presentation to VP of Sales.
  • Strong inter-personal relationship and communication skills
  • Support the sales team, as required, with 3-5 in person customer visits annually.
  • Prepare budget numbers in conjunction with VP of Sales
  • Exemplary communication skills to work across all functions of business, especially finance and operations.
  • Excellent computer and mathematical analysis skills. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Quarterly travel to Luxfer Canada—occasional domestic and international travel required, with daily interaction facilitated by Teams, e-mail, and telephone calls.
  • Daily interaction with the CA based facilities based in Riverside and Pomona. While based on the Riverside campus, ensure there is frequent visits (at least monthly) to the Pomona facility.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline.
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience

Compensation:
Base salary between $80k-$90k.
